I've just come from an Upsolute dealer where there has been a problem in the operation of upgrading the ECU program via OBD method (read original program, modify it and replace it):
- The check-sum of the original file seems to be wrong.
(The check-sum is one of the parameters that is changed during the modification, so that it complies to the modifications).
The file is truly original (never touched)
Maybes:
- Could they be using the wrong algorithm version to calculate the check-sum?
- Can it be a protection-trick from Citroen?
- Could the original file get corrupted?
- ...
Any clews on this? If Sherlock Holmes was here...
ECU wrong checksum?!
