My son in law is in South Africa and in need of some service info on a '93 Mazda 626 2,0L High.
Basically he needs new rocker switches for the elec windows front LHS (passenger side) and the rear RHS.
They had a really fun time visiting a Nature Park, then suddenly needed to close the windows approaching a couple of nosy lions[8D][:D]
Q1 : are these switches (and electrics circuits) basically the same system as on PSA cars, i.e. a straight through/polarity change circuit switch ?
Q2 : what type of oil to put into the servosteering reservoir on such a '93 mazda creature ? is it ATF ?
Q3 : Anyone knows of web based tech info on this Mazda ?
I found 108 elec window switches available on the DK breakers on-line stock service. Seems the local SA dealers knows about how rare these switches are (in SA) [}:)]. Could easily bring a couple down south, when my daughter is travelling off next week.

Ain't Mazda owned by Ford now [?] A mate of mine did have years ago a Mazda 323 on 1985 'C' reg. Can remeber that some of the interior was the same as the old Ford escort form the same year. As for the oil and stuff Ford can help as in my home town they are in the same car dealership [:)] and they have the same mechanics and stuff dealing with both cars. When the wifes Focus needed power steering fluid, the mechanic came out and topped it up using a bottle clearly labeled FORD, MAZDA, HYUNDI So he should be OK with Ford.

You might find UK based models will have the same switches. Get them to email you a digital pic of them, and trolly along to your UK madza dealer and see what he can do! I find with Pug they can order all French part number for non uk based cars, as I found out last week from a 504 parts catalogue all in french.... the cable arrived .... left hand drive, must get better on my pigeon french! Couldn't complain really the catelogue was 36 years old, and the car was 26 years old!!
