Xantia hydraulics

Post by johnlyn »

In the hope that somebody can help! I have a 1995 Xantia 1.9td that developed a leak at the rear off side K splitter, i had to cut all three pipes in order to remove as unions were rusted solid, the two 3.5mm pipes i have got ready to go back on the car the other a 4.5mm i believe to be the main feed, seems extra long as it loops over the top of the subframe, could i shorten the loop to make a new connection to the K piece? and does this pipe run the length of the car?

If there is no discernible reason for the extended pipe I know what I would do. Join the pipe and see what happens. It may just turn out to be a Citroen idiosyncrasy.

I have since found out that this 3.5mm pipe runs the length of the car but unable to find where it connects in the engine bay, any help would be much appreciated.
