Front disk + bleeding

Post by user_3150 »

Morning I'm changing the front disk's and pad's and bleeding the brakes today. It look's easy enough but any pointer's or advice would be helpful and appreciated.

You may or may not find the discs almost impossible to remove. When I did mine, the o/s fell off after removing the screws, but the n/s needed persuading with a lump hammer. Before mounting the new disc, clean off any rust, otherwise they might not run true. When bleeding the brakes, go gently with a RING spanner on the bleed nipples. I find they open easier if I give them a quick tap with a hammer, end on.
