My mobile Citroen Wizard Gareth from South Harrow seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth. He hasn't bought anything fron GSF since April whereas he was a real regular before.
Anyone know of his whereabouts? He traded under the name of PJ Autos.
My wife's Xsara failed the MOT on leaking rear brake cylinders and a hole in the exhaust.
It needs 2 cylinders and a set of linings plus the back box and centre pipe. Kwik Fit would sort it for £410! I'm thinking of risking another heart attack and fixing it myself. Surely I could get the parts for way under a ton!
Can anyone recommend a new Gareth not too far from Kingston?
Thanks in advance.

South Harrow to Kingston? That's a fair trek fora mobile mechanic!
There are two Cit independents listed below that I used when living in Teddington (but 7+ years back). Having said that, a Xsara is conventional enough to be repaired by a reputable all-makes outfit.
(1) French Correction - Amyand Road, St Margarets. Had changed ownership but still were specialising in French autos when last used in 2000 while I was briefly living in Epsom/working in Twickenham. Non-mobile.
(2) F.C. Scullion, Hampton (if still going). Old-fashioned-style garage - might be happier if your Xsara was an SM! Non-mobile.
If they still exist, mail me through my profile for private opinions. I seem to remember a hydro-cit specialist from Wimbledon used to advertise in Exchange and Mart.
