hi all, great forum you have hear (very helpful). This is teh second time I have registered as I have forgot my last login details.
But basically i have a teething problem.
Since having my front brake pads changed I have been getting to orange lights apear on my dash, one which stays on for a quick second then goes off - and appears again when stopping (this light is just an empty circle with 2 lines curved either side of it). Also I have another orange light which is perm on (this one again is same as other llight but instead of being empty circle this one has what looks like a picture of a car, with 2 wavy lines coming from the back tyres of it).
Does anyone have any suggestions on what could be my problem?
Thanks in advance
-Terry

Hi
Your first warning light is the one for the low front brake pad wear, Either the sensors are not connected, has fallen out, or one of the wires has shorted to earth.
Who replaced the brake pads? If it was a garage take it back & ask them to sort it!
Your second warning lamp with the picture of the car skidding is the ABS ( Antilock braking system )
This could be a dirty electrical connection somewhere, duff sensor or duff ABS ECU.
You need to provide more details on your car for more help.
Model, year, Make of ABS system fitted.

Ive no idea what ABS system is fitted to your Xantia, Someone with more Xantia knowledge will be along shortly im sure.
Have both these warning lights only started coming on since the pads where changed?
If yes, Its sounding like they might have broken an earth wire on a suspension leg or another odd electrical fault somewhere ( Not odd, Its just French electrics! lol )
