trani on the ecu that cntrols tickover of autobox?

Post by Paulxmski »

Hi,
I picked up a copy of Haynes electrics and electronics for cars at charity shop seems unread - 50p, and it goes into the modus operandi of the ecu for motronic and jetronic systems. Seems the tickover for automatic gearboxes is governed by a transistor/s on the ecu. Also the ecu controls the revs to stop overspeeding when the gears are changed. Apparently this creates significnt fuel ecomomies. When the ecu "detects" overspeeding above 1400 rpm while a sensor is telling the ecu the accelerator is not being pressed it cuts off the injectors until the revs die back to the correct start condition i.e 750+- which is premapped in the rom. It seems that the rising and falling of the revs, enrichment of the mixture and the cutting of the injectors affects the lambda sensor and this can result in a feedback loop condition.
The V6 S1 ecu is Fenix 3b so does anyone know if it does the same thing or perhaps know where the process is documented?
Mny tnks in advance.
