Did i do it right?

Post by Darkened »

Changed my first sphere on my Activa today. Was the accumulator.
Did i follow correct procedure?
De-pressurised the system as Haynes manual says, removed sphere, put new one on hand tight, then re-pressurised and did Citroebics.
That it?
Hope so as seemed fine after.
Got 4 more to do, the Activa spheres and centre ones. Can i do all at once or is it best to do in pairs then test sysstem out?
cheers

Sounds about right, the only step you may have missed was to check the LHM level. If I was being pedantic, I might say you should have lubricated the 'o' rings with LHM before spinning the new spheres on.

Did lube em up :) by accident though lol
one thing though, my indicator level does not work, when you raise it up with engine working it is way to high( indiocator right at top of the glass ), does that mean too much fluid in the reservior?
My VSX works fine but this is weird.

When you change a sphere which has leaked some of its gas away and replace it with one with more gas in, because there is more gas in the new sphere the hydraulic pressure isn't able to fill it up as much with LHM, so your LHM level in the tank will go up.
Mine is a little too high right now, since I changed an accumulator sphere but it'll do no harm, the worst it can do is come out of the overflow...
