i've got a bit of a problem was changing my cam belt today on my Xantia td and i suddenly started thinking about my mot and when i checked it ran out on the 5th of this month, the problem i have is the abs light is on is this a testable item?, also i need the car everyday and if i have to fix this first it may take a while to sort, any ideas [:)]

although they dont test the abs, if the warning lights on I think it can be failed on it as this happened to me. Turned car off and back on and the intermittent light stayed off and it passed. Of course this year it also passed however the MOT was just after I had the dash apart and was fiddling with the dash bulbs say no more

No,i think the wheel has to come off.Although saying that,last year my airbag light came on.Local specialist had to take wheel off to do the metal contacts.The exterior temp display bulb had blown(below rev counter).Went to pick car up,asked if they had done the bulb,no.Took it back in the work shop,out in 10 mins.Seems fast as they had to take wheel off etc to get dash out.
Maybe there is a way of just geting it out enough to change/remove the bulb.
