Replacing a Xantia Electronic Sunroof

Post by HughMul »

Hi,
I have just bought a second hand sunroof to replace my existing sunroof as the pins which locate the sunroof to the sliding mechanism both sheared off, and my local Citroen garage informed me that as these components were an inegral part of the sunroof and could not be sold separately, it would cost me over £1k for a replacement ( gulp! [:0]). I picked up a complete second hand sunroof for £50. [:)]
Anyone out there with experience of this job? How difficult is it to replace? [?]
Regards,
Hugh.

its not that bad, i took about 2 hours to remove and refit one but it can be a little awkward with the weight towards the front so get someone to help lift it up. its held in with six 10mm nuts, the back of the headlining is held (i believe) with mastik and can be cut with a stanley blade. the rest of it is various torx screws and cross heads holding the grab handles and sunvisors.
have fun....
