The paint code is never going to tell you when its made. Surely you mean the RP (Orga) Number?
Thats the 4 figure stencilled code e.g 5910 (my ZX) which has later been replaced by a longer code like 009926FV (my Berlingo)
Quick RP decoder courtesy J Cats http://www.cats-citroen.net/index.html also the gsfcarparts.com downloads section has RP guide from 1981 to 2004 in PDF table format.

Look for the number on the inside door frame on the passengers side & you have the ORGA number.
Look on the strut support and you have the paint code.Xantia has both, one under the other on the firewall.
