What where Citroen thinking ........

Post by wotsupnow »

Flicking through my Xantia 1.9TD owners manual I noticed the performance figures near the back, one caught my eye!
Theoretical top speed 175mph , what, down a cliff face ?
Anyone reached this speed in a diesel ?

175 Km/h is approximately 110 mph which is approximately the top speed for a Xantia 1.9 TD.
Seems to be too much of a coincidence for it not to be a simple mph/Kmh misprint.

I noticed that in mine when I got it in 1998 and had a little smile. Quickly realised their mix up between mph and kph.

It's just the way that they translate from French to English. You should see how the radio manual is for a paralell import Renault (none UK spec car) it's word for word and very confusing.
