How much should I sell this for ?

Post by Paul Thomas »

1993 'K' ZX Volcane 1.9TD
5 doors in Venetian Red.
Body work is in excellent condition (A few small scratches and stone chips - but then it's 11 years old !!)
4 good tyres, new battery.
There will be 12 months MOT and 6 months road tax.
Covered 119,000 miles and been regularly serviced by myself since I bought it at 54,000 miles from a Citroen Dealer (over 7 years ago). Timing belt done by garage when required.
Interior is in very good condition.
I keep the outside looking nice and it is regularly washed.
It will be polished and all the relevant cleaners, waxes applied and the inside fully cleaned.
What would you suggest for a local paper advert, bearing in mind I want to sell quite quickly as I have a new motor ??

i would happily pay £650, bt i know how good they are and have had one, someone who has never driven one before wouldnt be prepared to pay that much, if you had time to wait for a decent price, you would get it, but i think £550 for a quick sale is about right

When I looked for a Volcane ZX, apart from I couldn't find one local all the really nice ones on either 'L' or 'K' reg were about £650. but that was with MOT and a bit of or no TAX. Got £500 for my (old manky) ZX with 10 months MOT and no tax. 160K, 5 owners in not a good state but OK condition.

Bad news is that a couple of things need doing for the MOT [:(!]
So I'll have to price these up and do them b4 selling.
The reason I am selling is that I have just got a new job and taken the opportunity to buy myself a Toyota Celica (Gen6) SR [:D]
