Yes,2.0ltr turbo. No intercooler.90bhp,151 lbft.52mpg(top gear figures)They never put the 110bhp Hdi in it.Being in the Caravan club,i get their monthly magazine. They had a feedback story last year, where most owners said towing ability was average to good.Depends a lot on size/weight of caravan though.
Out of interest,Citroen have just put the new 1.6 Hdi in the Picasso,110 bhp/177 lbft.£16000 new though.

All HDi's (AFAIK) are turbos, there's just a few different flavours. The Picasso should come with a choice of 2; 90 or 110 bhp 2 litres. As for towing, I don't know, but the old XUD TD's did fine with 90bhp (in all its applications; Xantia, ZX, BX)

Yes - the earlier models have a 2 litre HDI engine putting out 90bhp at 4000rpm. with a torque figure of 151 at 1900rpm. Recent models can also have a 1.6HDI which produces 110bhp with even more torque than the bigger engine. I never towed with one, preferring my 2.1 Xantia, but they seem to have a good reputation among caravanners.

The 110bhp Picasso is the 1.6; only recently introduced. The 2.0 only came in 90bhp guise on the Picasso, but was also available in 2.0 110bhp guise for the "normal" Xsara. My mistake!

This month for the 1.6 Hdi i think. You could always have a 2.0 Hdi boosted, that will give you about 110bhp.My dad had a Pug 406 est 90 Hdi,pulled his heavy caravan ok.Heavy`r car than the Picasso. His new 2.0Hdi 110 a lot better though.

90 bhp 2 litre Picasso very nice to drive. I feel that the recent ones have a bit more than 90 bhp. The 2 litre feels a lot more 'meaty' than the 1.6 which thinks its a petrol!

No probs at all.Should be well within limit.Should pull it fine.I would think the car would weigh about 1300-1400kg,though you would have to check. Our 2 berth Award Bright Star is 1300kgs laden,Xantia 1440kgs.We have no probs.Towed everywhere with it,even to Italy.
