buzzing brakes

on long trips the brakes on my xantia 1.9td buzz through the pedal only on heavy braking?

do you mean buzz or vibrate. dose you feel it through the steering wheel, if so i would say that your discs are warpped

If its a vibrating/droning noise,only from high speed,then yes,your disks are warped.I changed my disks & pads yesterday for the same reason,only took about 40 mins to do the lot.

changed disc several weeks ago but still the same, new pads new rear disc last week bled full system, fresh suspension / brake fluid, new pump, car stops on a dime but has this buzz not a problem just feels strange, no fluid lose, passed M.O.T told examiner he said felt ok to him but he wasn't going fast

didn't know it had abs, as far as i know it hasn't

Can check by, under bonnet there should be a big alloy block with lots of brake pipes into it. Usualy in either of the front engine bay coners or around the brake master cylinder. Sorry I don'k know where exactaly but I'm a Citroen driver with regular suspension.

A buzzing, I think, has been attributed sometimes to a misbehaving doseur valve, I think. not sure if a Hydraflush could help here.
