ZX back on the road but needs tweeking

I have found a td engine for my zx i have put it in my car and it seems to run good, but seems to run warmer than my last one. When engine is cold and i start it up and go for a drive the temperature goes up after 5 mins and keeps going up to 110 degrees then drops to 90 and stays between 90 and 100. Does this mean wrong/naf themostat.

Sounds like the 'stat.
