Berlingo & 307 radio code

Post by thd »

Hi there,
I'm a new member so excuse my ignorance but I have just bought a CD/radio from a Peugeot 307 to replace the tape/radio in my 2003 Berlingo, it's the new type with a separate display. There's no code with the radio and I'm wondering if there is an easy (and cheap) way of decoding it. Some research on the net has got me worried with talk of ECUs and multiplex wiring and obviously I don't want to damage the car or either of the radios.[:I]

Hi
Im not too sure, But I think the Newer Peugeot & Citroen stereos are linked to the imobiliser, It might be a trip to the dealer to get this sorted.

these radios dont have codes, they are coded to the chasiss number of the car, your dealer can reprogram your chasiss number into it & it will work ok.i havent heard of anyone else being able to do this ....yet.
