I have just bought a 2000 HDi estate and have just looked in the drivers book and read about the coded card should I chase this up or can I still get keys without it? The other problem is that the preheat, main airbag and seatbelt light's don't come on when I turn on the ignition. Any Idea's?

I don't think you need the coded card since the car should be recorded by Citroen from whom you should be able to get the number - my wife doesn't have the card for her 2000 HDi and a dealer said it didn't matter!
Also wouldn't worry about the pre -heater light since I have only known it come on for a nao-second in very cold weather - it's these new ceramic glowplugs I think.
However, the seat belt and airbag lights do come on on hers -the former until you put on driver's belt, the latter until it has checked it (?) for a second or two. However, the fact that all these lights are inthe same little cluster (top right of panel might indicate a faulty connection or something? 'Fraid my knowledge of electrics goes no further. Have you tried getting your car checked by a Cit specialist and his computer thingy? Only takes a few seconds and might show fault if any?
