cheers for info on kangoo prob. you were right about pwr dropping out but it was not a faulty glo unit
turned out the old man took batt into 'k#@k fit' and they simply measured batt volts, found 12 and said it was ok.
after doing proper loadtest elswhere batt was found to be ****ged.

Sheer fun trying this one out [8D]
I did'nt suspect the glowplug timer, just mentioned it may start oscillate on a weak battery (or feed) which was my suspect - and turned out to be bull's eye [:D]

I can believe that, Dave! Who are they to know that if a battery has only 12v across it, then it is either flat or knackered [:D]
Makes me glad I do my own repairs...........
