I bought a set of Activa spheres yesterday;
The front centre (hydractive) sphere is part number N45335B,which is listed only for the Xantia Activa but the box, and the sphere itself has XM Hydractive written on it.
The Amtex ref. which appears on the box is SP 609.
Is this definately the correct sphere for my car?

I checked, they are correct, SP609 is the correct suppliers number denoting a Citroen genuine ref of 527609. This is a centre sphere for an Activa, although it seems that this part is also shared with some very late XM models.
If you look at the sphere itself there should be some black writing part of which should say "XTACT" denoting that its for a Xantia Activa, and that its 70 bar pressure.
