When noseying round under the bonnet of my ZX (1993 1.9D) I had a close look at the routing of the two water pipes that are atached to the bottom of the rad on the left hand side about 15 inches below the radiator cap. The one that goes off to the right along the bottom of the rad had been routed up over the other one and was in fact rubbing on the drive belt!! The belt had worn quite a large flat groove in the pipe!! I had to have the pipe replaced, phew [:0] good job I noticed in time.. Its not easy to see or to get at, but its worth checking on yours in case you have the same problem.. [:)]
