Hi, the heater on my car is hot, and I mean hot! In the hot position it blows hot and in the cold position it blows hot. If the slider things at the absolute min. temp then it blows cold, but any slight adjustment towards the warmer end and it's hot. This has only happened in the past couple of weeks. All fluid levels in the car are ok, nothing leaking, so I think perhaps it's a thermostat problem. Any hints or clues as to what I do now. (I'm a novice!)
Thanks in advance. [:)]

The thermostat is situated behind the alarm LED, but in order for it to have an airflow across it there is a small fan behind it. To find out if the fan is working, turn the ignition on without starting the engine and you should be able to hear it running. If you can't, try removing it and cleaning it up. You will need to remove the radio/surround in order to gain access because the supply leads are very short. Make sure you have the radio code, the surround is removed by unscrewing the 2 screws at the bottom by the ashtray.
