MOT Smoke test and Biodiesel

Post by oilyspanner »

Took the 1.9 TZD for an MOT test today, from where I was standing there was no visible smoke, the test machine gave a reading of 0.4 (with a fail of 3.0), clean burning or what! this is on Biodiesel.[:D]

.8 on the 2.1 Xantia, 1.4 on the Saxo, and 1.7 on the 306. With all three, I lace the tanks well on diesel Redex in the week or so before the test. The Xantia runs mainly on French diesel which, I'm told is 5% bio.
