Engine Diagnostic Warning Light - Xantia

Post by Nigel Darwell »

This morning whilst pulling away, my Hdi Xantia missed then stopped dead. It restarted OK and the orange engine warning diagnostic light came on. It repeated the above twice, but now seems ok but the light remains on - any ideas please.

Unfortunately you need to remove your arm and hand it over to the dealer in return for getting th fault codes read. However, if you're up around the 60k mark, I would strongly suspect the low pressure fuel pump. Be prepared for removal of the other arm to have this replaced.... (IIRC it's a fuel tank out job!)

no need to remove the tank,it can be changed in place as there is an access hole under the rear seats.
