Forum get togethers 3rd April 2004

Post by Jon »

On this date there will be a Southern and Northern Forum meetings.
The Northern meeting is being arranged by Vanny just off junction 21 of the M6. See http://www.andyspares.com/discussionfor ... IC_ID=6461 for all the details.
The Southern meeting is being arranged by Tom S and is in Southampton. Full details and directions at http://www.andyspares.com/discussionfor ... IC_ID=6480
It goes without saying that all French car enthusiasts and members are welcome at both venues.Pipes, beards and the like are not compulsary. [;)]
Me? I'll be at the Southampton gig. It is hoped that a "national" meeting, probably in the Midlands will be held later this year.

Ill try to get up there from Gosport but you've chosen my sisters birthday and the day I start getting my entire right arm tattooed, given that I won't be in too much pain/too drunk and do make it, what time? and how do we recognise each other (all carry a sphere each)otherwise we'll have to circulate listening for key words in conversation and try not to get punched.
I've got a goatee, does that count.

Great spot for a knees up too, about 600 yds from the Hells Angels Southern Chapter clubhouse (pleasant bunch also much given to beards I understand) and a mere 500 yd stagger to the Derby Road red light district (model Suzy etc For Sale).
I have just got to come to watch the social juxtopositions.

I've no Idea how many exactly but there are half a dozen at least due in Southampton. If you are considering being here, the beer is worth a detour!

The Thelwall meet sounded really good - sadly I was doing subframe mounts [:(]
Am definitely interested in future meetings, though there are few free weekends left in 2004!

As I have a touch of insonia thought I'd find something to do: Pic of Southampton meet courtesy of Tom: good time had by all (despite the rain outside, which I was probably aquaplaning through at the time of the photo).
From Left: Louie, Derek, Tom, Jon, Jeremy's elbow......
Note pressure gauge behind Louie's head - a truly hydropneumatic hostelry!

I would love to go over to see the mountains near Stuarts (oilyspanner) place? It sounds like a lovely area for a drive. :-) Vanny reckoned the sheep din know what a human looks like? lmho..
