Two colour paint

Post by renagade »

hi Guy's
2011 black c5 x7 in nice shiny black. What colour would you choose to paint the roof???? ( like the new c3's ) . I just would like to make it stand out from the rest of the car's on the road.
There are so many roads to travel but so little time, (Paul Cofield )

I love a two-tone as evidenced by the "A Nice 2-tone thread". All right my latest post to that thread wandered way of topic with a pair of 3-tone buses. (yellow, maroon and cream). You may take some inspiration from the pages of that thread. Old Vauxhalls and Austin Cambridge/Westminster had many examples of nice 2-tone-age. Gibbo mentioned today that one of his Westminsters was black over red.

I do like yellow, and black with a yellow roof may "go", It works for wasps after all!.

I have been taking an interest in these recently

The 2-tone-age is a simple white roof. The interior being white and the wheel trims (for want of a better word) also being white add to the overall look. Doesnt show this so well on the yellow one but the roof white bit isnt just a little cap on the top but extends subtly down the rear.

Gibbo and me lost a post each from here on 26th May outage. Still it allowed me to correct my red over black to black over red as my original misreported gibbo's A99 two-tone! :-D

Anyway...for gibbo

As far as i know the C5 X7 never left the factory with "Go Faster Stripes"
Now to keep the cost down as from experience paint jobs are expensive renegade i have a solution for you..........

Let my good lady to drive around a multi story car park for 10 minutes, the go faster stripes may not be pleasing on the eye but trust me you will have them :)

Not joking ask Mike T how good his are on his recently aquired C5 X7 lol
