Boost gauge

Post by bernie »

Hi all.
As I have replaced my BX turbo with a unit from a Rover, I need to measure that the turbo is working ok.
My vac/pressure gauge only goes up 10 psi, which it reaches but slowly.[:(]
Can anyone suggest a source for a gauge up to 20-25 psi?
Thanks

Halfrauds do the same TIM guage for about £45ish last i looked. Nice and 'cheap' but does wobble lots on idle. I believe they are accurate whent hey get on boost though.

The nicest boost gauge of all was in a pod on top of the dash fitted to Saab 99s from the 1980s, very neat (VDO I think). Saab specialist breakers sell these with the dash-top pod (used) for about £30. Bit pricey for second hand but if I could find one at £15-£20 I'd get one of those.
Think they red-line at about 1bar.
