Ok, I believe the brake switch plunger has to be set correctly before it is inserted or it won’t work. I’ll see if I can dig up the relevant post....

Really, I did wonder why the plunger had ridges on them and you can change the height

Ok, so here are the guidance notes as I can't recall the other post I did on this...

CAUTION: According to vehicle, there may be two types of brake switch assembly: Either a brake switch assembly with manual adjustment, or a brake switch assembly with automatic adjustment.

(1) Stop lamp switch .
"a" Locking key.
"b" Push rod support .
"c" Thrust pad.
Stop lamp switch (With manual adjustment)

Removing
Disconnect the connector of the stop lamp switch (1).
Rotate the stop lamp switch (1) a quarter turn to the left to unlock it.
Take out the stop lamp switch (1).

Refitting

CAUTION : Make sure that the brake pedal is in the rest position and that it remains so throughout the operation.

Make sure that the locking latch "a" on the push rod support "b" is inside the extension of the stop lamp switch centring lug (1).
If this is so, the travel of the plunger support "b" within the brake light switch (1) is limited.
Present the stop lamp switch (1) to its support, with the thrust pad "c" against the brake pedal.
Press firmly on the brake light switch (1) in the centreline to set the piston "c" in the plunger support "b" until the base of the brake light switch (1) is in contact with its support.
Rotate the stop lamp switch (1) a good quarter turn to the right to lock it.
Reconnect the connector of the stop lamp switch (1).
Switch on the ignition.
Check that the brake lights come on.

Check the adjustment: Stop lamp switch (Brake pedal at rest)

Check the position of the plunger support "b" in the brake light switch (1).
The plunger support "b" should be flush with the body of the brake light switch (1) and the plunger "c" should be in contact with the brake pedal.
N.B.: The brake light switch (1) must not be used as a stop for the brake pedal.
Check the adjustment: Stop lamp switch (Brake pedal pressed down)

The push rod support "b" is free and the push rod "c" is no longer is contact with the brake pedal.
Stop lamp switch (With automatic adjustment)

Removing

Disconnect the connector of the stop lamp switch (1) (at "d").
Rotate the stop lamp switch (1) a quarter turn anti-clockwise to unlock it.
Remove the stoplamp switch (1).
Refitting

(1) Stop lamp switch.
"a" Locking key.
"c" Thrust pad .
CAUTION: Make sure that the brake pedal is in the rest position and that it remains so throughout the operation. Do not support the brake pedal while fitting the brake light switch (1), risk of incorrect setting.

Check that the locking key "a" is inside the extension of the stoplamp switch centring lug (1).
Present the stop lamp switch (1) to its support, with the thrust pad "c" against the brake pedal.
Turn the brake light switch (1) one quarter of a turn clockwise to the stop.

N.B.: Adjustment of the stoplamp switch (1) is automatic once it is locked.
Re-connect the connector (at "d").
Check that the brake lights come on.

ok marc I will analyse it all and check my work but looking at everything I think ive got it correct with the automatic version my brake lights do come on and off as they should do .. I'm very thankful for all yr. support

sorry Marc after reading it I realise that I did it the manual way .. what you do is push the switch in till it pushes onto the Toe Board then turn it quarter turn and that should be it ..

quick update on this is im looking at Lexia and trying to find what its not a fault first, so gone into Lexia reports and the things it may deactivate will show up as a Fault..
So .. its not ..
calibration of the steering wheel angle sensor ...calibrated
calibration of steering wheel angle information by the ESP .. no fault detected
status of the steering angle sensor ..good condition
Network communication diagnostics.... dialogue correct

so even tho fault code U1305 steering wheel angle sensor missing communication fault .. not distinguished..
according to the above information there is no fault?
there is no Major BSI fault anymore and I have checked all fuses.
AAS: Parking Aid … no faults

ok I think the main fault lays with .. No communication with the gyroscope accelerometer sensor and in turn that flags up lots of other fault codes and deactivates a lot of other things.. there Is nothing wrong with the supply voltage and all graphs show all wheel sensors to be ok , and at no point does it show up any issue with the ABS system its just that it has disabled them.. there also seems to be no issue with the EBS system as there is now faults on the FSE..
There is only one fault on the main ECU but that's just a P0483 cooling function integrated into the ecu fan unit..

So I think the fault to try and track down is on the ECU:ESP 81 C139B gyroscope accelerometer sensor signal fault..
characterisation of the fault: short circuit to positive or short circuit to earth or open circuit ..

I just don't how to go about checking the above information any help specifically .. short circuit to positive or short circuit to earth or open circuit ..

Hi, I have a problem with my car Peugeot 308 cc GT 2009, the turbo is not kicking in when I force it, and I have two codes:
U1325 - State: Permanent - No communication with the gyroscope accelerometer sensor. No Signal.

P0606 - State: Permanent/Intermittent (depends) - ECU Fault. Not Characterised.
Can someone help me to understand what could be the problem?

Fault Code: U1325
Description of Fault: Absence of communication with the gyrometer-accelerometer sensor: No signal. The time for recording the fault code is 100 milliseconds, No transmission of datastreams by the gyrometer/accelerometer sensor
Conditions for Fault to clear: Transmission of datastreams by the gyrometer/accelerometer sensor
Downgrade Modes whilst Fault is active:
  • The anti-lock braking system (ABS) function switches to down-grade mode
  • Immediate cutting of all the speed control functions (Electronic stability control (ESP))
  • ESP/ASR indicator lamp
  • SERVICE indicator lamp
Symptoms:
  • Lighting of the ABS and ESP warning lamps
Suspect Areas:
  • CONNECTORS
  • Line CAN
  • ESP ECU

Fault Code: P0606
Description of Fault: ECU fault: Not characterised.
Possibility 1
ECU voltage problem

Possibility 2
Fault internal to the ECU microprocessor
Conditions for Fault to clear: Possibility 1
Disappearance of the ECU voltage problem

Possibility 2
Resolution of the fault internal to the ECU microprocessor
Downgrade Modes whilst Fault is active:
  • All of the regulation functions are inactive
  • ESP/ASR indicator lamp
  • ABS indicator lamp
  • SERVICE indicator lamp

Hi guys,

Have Citroen c4 grand Picasso same problem
All starts from Abs esp park problem.
I have Launch x341.
After checking found that no Power to ABS block. I found the wire make jumper , connect launch and AB’s start responding. So all errors gone cleared.
Car start work fine. I put all wires back make nice. Drive all ok.
Switch it off and again problem. Launch shows problem with break switch. P1704 error.
So I check the switch it’s ok. Break light work. Also take another switch from the same car. Same error.
Also I check the gear box selector it’s ok.

Problem : system ask to press break pedal to start a car.
Also are some errors between communication devices.

As I understand ABS have 2 power wires direct from fuses from battery.
And same wire which goes on brake light goes to abs to prove that pedal is pressed.

Can some one share circuit diagram? With abs pinout.
My opinion it’s broken wires.

There's too many faults there for me to list out - from brake switch to programming of the hydraulic actuators not carried out to communications issues on the CAN network.

If you've had any work done recently on the brakes, I would be checking that no damage has been done tot he wiring of the ESP ECU, the wheel speed sensors. Has somebody been fiddling about with a clutch change and not programmed the hydraulic actuators and gear grid???
