I'm not having much luck, as there are half a dozen types of fuse boxes on these - given the varying use and adaptability- It doesn't help with all that tissue in the way as it is making it hard to identify the correct one - and it's not like a normal car where is has a simple BSI and a few attached fuse mountings plus the engine bay fuse box - this dispatch III has a stack of options.

If you could move the tissue I may be able to get a bit nearer- as even the fuse Amps are not helping and do not match what I have.

Ok, so after some further neck twisting, I think I may have it:

F23 marked Yellow is 30A Hydraulic brake block electrovalve
F18 Marked Red is 7.5A +Batt Electronic Injection (as are fuses F16 & F17 also)
F21 Marked Blue is 15A Fuel Pump (though I note ther is a 20A fuse in your picture.

Hi thanks for your reply but it’s not that one! It’s labled F56 I the fuse box cover but the actual fuse board itself is separate from the main one which is the one in your diagram. It’s situated just at the top of the main one fuse board but separate from it. (To the left of the diagram above)

That would of saved a lot of time having the fuse reference! :-D

In that case on the other half of the board, F56 is a 15A Batt+ 12V rear socket or "prise 12V arriere" if you prefer the French.

The only mention I can find of fuse 56 is that it's for the 12v socket on some Citroen vehicles.

Ok thanks. I’ve looked up no 56 and got the same results except that every list states that it is 56 in the door pillar fuse box. This one is in the engine box. 😫

Perhaps just the Tourer (Estate) models? There's one on the RH side of my car at the back next to the raise/lower switch and luggage area lamp.

Same as mine but there's no mention of a fuse for it in the handbook.

Forget it - the Relay is completely different chaps - there's up to half a dozen fuse boxes on these as there are over 40 body variants and with options for ancillary power supplies and transformers as these are commercial vehicles.

Fuse F56 is as I stated for your specific Relay III variant.

OK, thanks for this but there is one thing you may be able to clear up then. This fuse appears to be blowing after the van has gone into limp mode. I had to call the AA the other day as it had done just that. Guy looked through his laptop system and it guided him to check this fuse as it was something to do with a wire shorting on the exhaust.
Had van checked later and there was indeed a wire to a sensor on the exhaust that had damaged insulation.
I guess this may be an odd coincidence but all seems strange to me.

AA report is as follows. -
Patrol found the following fault code/s:System : Engine control 1 - 1Z2 / Diesel CR/EDC SID 208 Status :P15BE - Glow relay/plug. Error Message : Unknown error type ($73). Error sporadic.check and follow hints and tips, change fuse in central fuse box, check but no visible wiring to dpf injector, requires garage to check, .Fuse is intact did not blow straight away.

It probably would help if you gave us an explanation of what the original problem was, as you’ve only been asking about the identification of the fuse.

You mentioned going into limp mode. That will be enabled by the injection ECU when there is a problem with the fuelling, air, emissions system to protect the engine / limit pollution.

The vehicle really needs to be read with Diagbox to determine any / all the errors, as the AA probably don’t have proprietary codes for the manufacturer. The SID208 code relates to the engine ECU, but I will have a look later to see if I have that code and a fuller description of it for you.

There is a simple question to ask, but the answer is NOT simple.

Is the vehicle going into limp mode BECAUSE the fuse blew, or is the fuse blowing BECAUSE she is going into limp mode? Personally I would guess the former, and something the fuse is feeding is blowing the fuse. If that something is related to engine management (as Marc has said) the ECUs will, to protect the engine (and try to get you home) cause limp mode to happen.
