Re: Display for fuel consumption and how far you get
Ok, let's make sure you have the correct display showing:
Using the Left Hand Wheel control will give you the Speed Display, then Trip 1, then Trip 2, Navigation, etc.
So can you confirm (bearing in mind you must be travelling over 30 KMH for some info to display) you are getting thee screens?
Using the Left Hand Wheel control will give you the Speed Display, then Trip 1, then Trip 2, Navigation, etc.
Changed by rotating the left hand scroll wheel | Instantaneous Info in Zone B Zone C Display 3 types of Trip Info |
With the SPEED display showing Range available on existing fuel is shown arrowed. Note: When Range remaining is less than 30 Km, 4 dashes display. | Instantaneous Fuel Consumption is shown arrowed. Note: only available when travelling over 30km/h |
On any of the 2 Trip Displays This is the Info shown | The same for Trip 2 |

Re: Display for fuel consumption and how far you get
One thing I omitted to mention. If you are already aware of the above displays and how to access them, then apologies for the explanations - but at this point this is the most obvious thing to make sure people understand the display information settings.
Having said that, the other possibility for losing the specific information on the display (specifically that you are not getting any trip displays or other information) is if you have changed certain parameters in Diagbox.
I've seen this before where other owners think it would be cool to have certain functions enabled and then end up bricking their car because they are not relevant to the particular model. You have to understand that PSA use similar BSI units across a particular range including Peugeot models - and these have very different equipment to show the same information. Changing a setting meant for a different model will cause problems with your display or worse. I have seen an X7 owner's vehicle lit up like a Christmas tree after he changed some settings experimenting and without realising what he was doing.
I'm not saying this is the case, but in my experience it is the most likely thing that has happened. Is it possible you may have accidentally (or intentionally) changed a setting that is not meant for your specific X7?
If you have changed some parameters (however insignificant you might think they are) it can affect the operation of the car. If you have dome something and cannot remember what it was, I may be able to help you get the correct settings back based on your vehicle specification. Just let me know.

Yes I know the car have to travel 30km/h and the tank is full of diesel. The funny part is that range is stuck on impossible 2000km and not move. The car have always ben served at Citroën and they dont now why is like this.

So you haven't changed any configuration parameters in the BSI?
Do you have the VIN and I'll look at the info I have.

Re: Display for fuel consumption and how far you get
I have the following from another X7 same engine as yours:
Are you aware that if the fuel gauge is playing up this can also affect the trip and range readings.
Also it is possible to check the live data on the trip and range information whilst driving, using Diagbox. You can select the parameter measurements and go for a drive and then read back what it records later.
Symptom | Suspect Areas |
Malfunction of the Current Consumption (Dashes on the Display) | ABS/ESP Configuration of the BSI Built-in Systems Interface Displays |
Malfunction of the Average Consumption (Dashes on the Display) | ABS/ESP Configuration of the BSI Built-in Systems Interface Displays |
Malfunction of the displayed range | ABS/ESP Configuration of the BSI Built-in Systems Interface Displays Steering Wheel with Fixed Central Controls |
Malfunction of the Zero Reset | Built-in systems Interface Steering Wheel with Fixed Central Controls |
