Hi and welcome.

That does look like the Glow Plug Relay and these are relatively cheap to replace.

Post up your VIN and I'll confirm the correct replacement part number for you.

Not sure about the small box/unit, but the big box is the glow-plug (GP) relay.
Known for corroded/dirty contacts on the underside (which can also overheat - swollen cable insulation is a clue) which should be cleaned up back to bright metal.
>>> Disconnect the battery before unshipping the ring connectors, as one of them will be permanent Batt+.

The GP relay can be opened up to check the internal contacts. These handle a heavy current, and can become oxidised. Clean up with fine glasspaper. The relay also controls the GP indicator light on the dash.
New relays readily available, as Marc says.

I don't recognise the small plug-in box.
If you can post your VIN number, maybe we can help identify it with a circuit diagram.

Is it a 9 pin plug? It looks like the very primitive type main relay that powers any engine sensors & the keypad immobiliser system (if fitted). I think Citroen call it the ADC relay.
Looks like someone has butchered its connector, there should be a sliding tab on the plug that needs to be pulled out to release the plug from the relay. Its deffo factory fitted.
