C8 left Engine/gearbox mounting bracket

Post by Chuit »

The left engine/gearbox mounting bracket on my 2004 C8 2.0 Hdi has rusted off, and as a result the engine and gearbox assembly has dropped down quite a bit on the left side. I have been trying to source this bracket online, searching with various phrases, but with no luck. I am not looking for the rubber mount, but the bracket that goes between the rubber mount and the body. Google isn't even able to show me a photo af this "secret" bracket. Would anyone have a part number for it? There are plenty of used parts for the C8 on ebay, so I find it a bit strange that this bracket isn't there. By the way my car has the 4 speed automatic transmission, not sure if the bracket would be different on a car with manual transmission...

VIN please and then I can see what is available. Parts are still available , but there are different fixings depending on engine types, so VIN is needed to confirm part numbers.

Hi, Thanks for your reply. I gather this must be the VIN: VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]

Nope, it is just that the Moderators will (as soon as they are aware of it) obscure a VIN to protect it from those who would otherwise take advantage. If you have to give it out in the future send it to the requesting Moderator in a PM.
Oh, and :welc: to the French Car Forum, by the way.

We have recently added a filter to the forum software so that VINs are automatically obsfucated (masked). Forum moderators can view the VIN and the original poster can see the VIN if he opens the message editor.

Anyone else will have to ask a Moderator to send it to them.

Ok, so here is the parts diagram:

The elastic part (number 5 on the diagram) is still available from Citroen at £68.21 inc. VAT - and would seem to incorporate the whole thing if that is the part you are referring to. If it's not number 5, let me know which item it is.

If it's number 9 - that's the Engine Mounting Bracket, part number 1813H0 and is still available from Citroen for £23.38 Inc. VAT.

I know that it's probably only me that itches about it but can the spelling be corrected to "obfuscated" please?

It's number 9 I'm looking for. Thanks!

When the engine/transmission fell down, it resulted in the inner joint of the driveshaft coming apart, the driveshaft was damaged, and I cut it off with an angle grinder to be able to tow the car home. So I am looking for a complete left driveshaft as well. Would you have a number for that one too? From what I've heard it's different on manuals and automatics. Mine has the 4 speed automatic.

I have your VIN so have all the details I need.

Citroen offer a new and an exchange part. In both cases there is a refundable deposit on return if the old one. But at least you have the part numbers. These are for the left driveshaft.

Part 3272CC for the new one £428.08 inc. VAT
Part 3272CE for the exchange one £227.59 inc. VAT

£66.96 is the deposit on top of this.
