C5 brake fluid?

Post by danny_c5 »

Hi I noticed my c5 brake fluid was low.

Is it ok to top the fluid up? Do I need to adjust the suspension before topping up?

What type of brake fluid does it take dot4?

Cheers
Danny

Yes DOT 4 for the brakes and no need to do anything with the suspension system as it is completely independent from the braking and steering system. The LDS fluid only supplies the suspension and the power steering system (but has an independent pump for the steering).

There is a filter inside the brake fluid reservoir, be very careful not to get any contaminants inside it - and be aware it is highly toxic and corrosive to paintwork.
