09 berlingo 1.6 hdi , turbo inlet torque for locking nut

My Cars: Hi I have a wee berlingo for work , which I’m generally very happy with , and a c4 for my Daily run around

09 berlingo 1.6 hdi , turbo inlet torque for locking nut

Hi , was checking for play on the turbo shaft on the inlet side when the locking nut came loose , is this normal will I need to get it tightened and maybe a little lochtite, thanks any help greatly appreciated

That is novel ! I would think you need to stick a lolly stick into the fan to counterhold it and then nip the nut up using a quarter inch drive deep socket, a dab of loctite might be a good idea, how you could measure torque on such a small fastening in such a location, I would set my wrist to 0.005 of a white knuckle :wink:
BXs since 1993 built 1.9 TZD turbo, got a S2 Xantia estate, brilliant car! 2013, Xantia HDI LX 110 2000 new car with 122,000, l C2 HDI Rusty rocket, C3 Picasso HDI new to me.
