I've been trying to track down an oil leak and so have been looking into the PCV system. While doing so I came across this diagram on Citroen Service that makes me wonder if I've been putting oil in the wrong place.
It labels the thing bolted to the front of the engine bay (4) as "Gas Recycling Breather" and the hose (5) as "Engine Breather Hose".
I've been filling up the engine oil using that, assuming it's there because the one at the top of the engine is an arse to get to.
Now I look at the manual, it tells me to fill oil on the top of the engine:
Here's what they look like in real life. No way I'm getting a 5 litre bottle to that one on the head:
Surely I've not been doing it wrong all this time!

Re: Dispatch DW8 1.9D - where to fill the engine oil
You can fill the oil at either point, number 4 & the associated parts have been added to the dispatch due to (as you have found) poor access to the main filler cap.
Some of the parts descriptions translations on Citroen Service can be quite bizzare.
