Tyre pressuresd and indicators

Post by ohms69 »

Hi all,
My BX estate is running ZX volcan 14 inch wheels and 185/65 r14 uniroyals.
Does anybody have any idea what pressure I should be runiing front and rear on the BX?
Also, how do you remove the front indicators on the later model BX?
Haynes says they unclip, but that seems to be a load of tosh to me.

It´s a while since I had a BX, but from memory (such as it is) fronts were 36 and rears were 32. To remove the front indicators, open the bonnet and use a narrow blade to press down the lever alongside the unit.

On GTI models wqhich use the same tyre sizes 32 front 30 rear, larger 195 section tyres can run as low as 27 rear. later model indicators are held in with a M6 nut or a plastic wingnut, to see this you need to probably pull the headlamp from its adjusters.

On the Xantia is 33+/-1 front and 30+/-1 rear - BX should be very near to that

The front indicators are bolted to the wing by either a 10mm nut or plastic wing nut next to the headlamp.
