Hello
My VTS has 3 aluminium pedals, but thet are showing their age. I've ordered 3 new pedals, replaced brake and clutch ones, but can't figure out how to remove aluminium from throttle pedal.
Anyone got any tips?
Thanks

Re: Replace throttle pedal cover
Have a look on the top of the pedal where the dents are. There should be 2 of these that have screws in. Top right and third down on the left. You’ll need a torx fitting to undo them. See picture

Re: Replace throttle pedal cover
Alright, thanks
So I can just unscrew it and unplug it and nothing will break?
Should I disconnect the battery maybe?

Re: Replace throttle pedal cover
This is just the pedal cover we are talking about and not the accelerator pedal itself? You should just be able to undo the 2 screws on the pedal plate and replace it.

Re: Replace throttle pedal cover
Correct, just the pedal cover.
They are held by two screws accessible from the top, but also two nuts somewhere inside the pedal. They are inaccessible, but have to be retained for top screws to be removed.
That's why I'd like to remove the pedal itself to have a better look at everything.

Re: Replace throttle pedal cover
You should be fine removing the accelerator, just switch off engine and allow BSI to sleep for a few minutes and disconnecting battery terminal may be wise. Follow BSI rest when connecting battery backup after.
Regarding the screws on the pedal cover, you may find you need a thin Allen key that goes up underneath the pedal cover to hold a nut in place when unscrewing the top screws.

Ok, thanks, I'll try.
Don't have a small spanner, but will try to jam the nut somehow.
