1.6 Hdi engine photos needed

I wonder if anyone can give me links to high def. photos of the 'dark side' of this engine- that is the are around the EGR cooler, injector common rail and the fuel pump.
I am in the process of a rebuild, and not having the where with all to lift the engine out, the job is being done in situ.
My problem is that this area of the engine was taken apart by feel and memory- there was just no room for lights, mirrors, hands and tools.

I've searched ebay, google etc. but have not so far found anything with the detail I need to refresh my memory. Ta muchly.

These are going to be a tremendous help- thank you. Are there any more of the fuel pump brackets? In particular I trying to ID some form of red coloured component that fits in somewhere under the pump. I only caught sight of it one time in a mirror- I took it off by feel but I am unsure what it is and where it goes.

Is it a wiring plug? I'll have a look to see if I can find anything else for you.

I'm not sure what it is, but as far as I can remember it is held in place by a single bolt which was near impossible to get at. It was in the area shown on your drawing Fuel Pump B- and I think it may be bolt 19 that held it in place. I don't think it was a wiring plug.

Well I've had a look at the wiring diagrams and can only immediately see 2 red wiring connectors:

1321 and 1221.
1321 is 3 pin, 3 wire red connection
1221 is 2 pin, 2 wire red connection

Here is the parts diagram of the fuel pump and to the right of that is a table of connectors associated with the fuel system: Number 10 is the regulator that then sits into the pump at 1.
In the second set of pictures, part 12 I believe is 1321 in the diagram and is zoomed up for you to see better - this would appear to show a bolt as you describe.

Thanks Marc, this is all superb stuff! I need to get a break in the weather and get out there for a closer look. The pump and bracket and now the head are all out of the way and I should be able to get a better idea of what is going on. When I get a better idea of the situation perhaps I can take the liberty of getting you on board again.

No worries, with the codes and the diagram you should be able to see the relevant connectors to the fuel circuit. It's P'ing it down here too so and hail stones to boot. Lovely.

Ok- finally got sight of the component I'm on about, it's looking like it is some form of vacuum operated thingy. Whilst what it is interests me, the real question is where and how does the L shaped, cranked bracket fit back into the right place. It is bolted by 2x bolts to the backside of the block.

Almost there! Thanks. Now where do the bolts 70 & 71 fit in. I'm wondering if I ever need to take this bracket off in the first place- at this time I can't see it would have prevented me from getting the fuel pump out of the way.

And the answer was- Haynes made the whole procedure up and caused me a lot of grief. The fuel pump and its brackets never needed to come off in the first place.
Separating the pump and brackets from the head required just the removal of 2x 6mm bolts and 1x 13mm nut and its 8mm stud.
I proved the point by refitting pump and brackets first- and then dropping the head on.

I have an oil leak from rear of engine somewhere. Do you have any drawings of pipe work
