Cruise Control Issues

Post by johnboi79 »

The cruise control doesn't work I mean it might work but most of the time when I select cruise control it just flashes -- and doesn't cruise, I am thinking it could be the break switch but I am not sure, anyone offer a suggestion please?

Cruise will not engage if it detects any anomaly - either from the engine ECU, brake / clutch switch (on a manual), signal fault. Normally the flashing bars means a speed has not been set - but on some vehicle variants will be accompanied by a message saying something like 'Impossible - Set Speed First'. Another example is where if it is working and the engine hesitates whilst it is engaged - even for a moment, it will deactivate the system. So I would check with Lexia to see if there are any engine-related / other fault codes that could be the cause.
