My 2p, I think you were right first guess Marc & it's out of the additive system... Those drips the OP mentioned (I see two hanging from bottom of car, top left of first pic) having no dieselly smell or feel would maybe tie in to this too, not sure what Eolys fluid smells or feels like though :? It's certainly a fluid-bearing part of the fuel or additive system though I would have thought, it having those pipes...

Yes, looking again at the diff. Pressure sensor, it seems to be a different shape, so probably come away from the tank. :)

As it turns out, at the end of a long drive and illumination of a warning triangle + engine fault message on the dash, the same has happened to mine, however its half worn away from contact with the road. I'm very glad its been ID'd on here, my go-to garage had no idea what it was and I couldnt find it online at all. now i just haveto find one ! :-D
