It doesn't have one on the MK II according to the service information Bazzer - the thread Gibbo linked to is for the Mark I C5 as in the diagram below - Item number (2):
C5 MK I Heater Motor Control Module.
C5 MK I Heater Motor Control Module.
It is a completely different design on the MK II.

How can the Mk2 control the blower speed if there's no resistor or control module?

It's good to question - I don't mind at all  I was just trying to save you a bit of time looking for something that doesn't appear to be there.

@Paul: I will have another look into this - but it may be controlled via the climate / heater control unit in the Mark II - these are rather large modules and may well have some additional electronics in there to control this. I'll see what I can dig up - but it may even be built into the blower motor unit itself on the MK II, but there is certainly no part listed as available unlike the MK I.

bazzer123 wrote: 06 Mar 2018, 11:23 As far as I can tell this is a pre heater, there are no other wires leading anywhere. Still banging my head in this one.

That would explain exactly my surprise that I previously expressed - an electric heating element I can understand being that size, but not a blower fan speed resistor!

And I've also just checked the wiring diagrams and again can confirm that the 'additional air conditioning blower resistor' 8049 may not be present.

I at the moment am admitting defeat on trying to get my heater working leave it for another day when I have more time to do it. One last thing I have noticed that my car and Peugeot 407 have the same system are they compatable?.

They do share the same platform - but like each marque the trim and option level will mean different parts depending on what is fitted.

The part you need is (6441S3) for the Heater Air Puller unit. If you have the VIN from the 407 I can check if that has the same part for you. If you don't have a donor as yet - that is the part you need regardless. There's plenty available on the bay of evil.

EBay mmm I might as a last resort. There are a few 407s in the scrap yards around my way might try them first. Need other parts probably work out cheaper.

Ok, they seem common enough - you have the PSA part number now, so you know which is the right one.

Yes the chap has the Dual Zone climate system that has additional controls for air mix and direction and will have the additional component I mentioned in my post on this system. The electric diagrams and info I have suggests a direct control as they mentioned on Aussie Frogs. And yes on the X7 they have gone back to the blower resistor module again.
