reversing lights engage and go striegt off again where is the switch looked on gearbox not there is it on the auto shift lever any advice or pics would be a help

The switch is on the gearbox on the lever that the control cable connects to. It is a complicated switch that tells the ECU which ear lever position is selected. I suppose that being a C5, the BSI is also involved in controlling the reversing lights.

when you put in reverse they do come on but soon as u let go of the lever they go off again so i think the switch could be out of line somehow
