I was going to fiddle with the height correctors on the xantia, but decided against it. It is today at a garage which is run by an ex Citroen workshop foreman who knows their suspension systems inside out and back to front! Even though it's bright and dry here today, it's too cold and my back is too knackered to do it.

When you get one that knows their stuff, it is so much easier and quicker - I too have a 'proper' Citroen-trained technician that I have been using for over 20 years and is now a Manager. He goes way back to the CX / BX days and everything since, who I trust implicitly.

It's the first time I have used this guy so I shall reserve judgement until I collect the car later, and see how much he charges! He has started up in the unit next to one of my two preferred tyre fitters. That's how I found him, and if he is good and only 4 miles from home that will be good.

How did you get on. Not in south London by any chance?
