Re flashing ECU

Post by Fake Concern »

I've read numerous times on C4Ownwers and various other forums that people have had the ECU of their C4 VTSs re-flashed by a Citroen dealer.
Is this something that can be done with Lexia/Diagbox? If so how?

Still not happy with performance of LEZ (in case you wondered!)

This needs to be done with a valid account and a connection to the PSA servers, so cannot be done using our clones. The dealer will be able to check if there is an update, but they usually only do this if there is a problem. They will normally charge of course for this.

I wondered if that was the case. Thank you very much for the reply.

It's safe to assume that Shaun never drove LEZ during the time I owned it so it's not suffering from a Shaun engine! That Carbis not behaving itself just very well for you. Hope you get it sorted out soon.

Haha It's not really bad Davie, just not quite right and can't put my finger on why not (apart from when it goes into limp mode lol!). Sometimes it's as good as any VTS and other times just not the ticket. I hoped that Lexia would give me the answer, but just added to the confusion really.

I’m certainly a long way from being competent with the lexia either Peter. However after 3 goes of reading and clearing faults on big pug I have decided to replace the air flow meter. One has been ordered, a genuine but used Siemens one to try, it was only 25 quid compared to over 100 for a new one, so it’s a cheap fix if it does fix it. If that does the trick I may buy a new one, but then may not as I think I shall only keep the 407 until mot time in the late spring then move it on. It is a great car but I find myself using the xantia all the time and I’m not quite gelling with the 407.
