C4-5 door 1.6hdi central locking issue & RL door alarm.

Post by Rochy101 »

Ok guys and dolls ,
This is my 2005 Citroen C4 5door 2005 that is having central locking issues like it wont lock even with the key. It makes a sound like rejecting the door lock also when driving the door alarm sounds off for the rear left door open even though its firmly closed. Should the seat belt lights go off on the dash board for the rest of the car when its only me in it as in driving ?. Sorry if this question has been through the ringer new to the C4 but lots of history and bizarre adventures with the C5.
Thanks for now .

The fault will be with the door that says it's still open.
The car cannot lock,if it thinks that this door is not shut.
Most likely it's a faulty latch, giving the wrong information, but it could be the wiring broken in the rubber umbilical between the pillar & door.
Best to check this 1st before getting a new latch.
I have one to fit next week, and a new rear latch for a C4 is £105+ vat at this time.
