Good afternoon gentlemen,

The code worked fine Marc, thank you again : )

Davie I have set the power options all to never, otherwise the screen dims on battery.

I have also messaged the seller to confirm that creating a partition on the hard drive and installing a ghost program is not going to effect Diagbox.

That way if the program should get corrupted, it is a 20 minute job to load it and the operating system back on : )

It feels good to have the tool required to see what is going on.

The front height sensor shows as having a short to earth, tests on a valve I think it was dropped the front and also started the pump, which was reassuring to hear.

I have just glued the cover back on the used sensor I serviced, once I have the front jacked and blocked up I shall fit it.

If it does not work a new one will be obtained.

From looking through the menu, I should also be able to reset the height with the Lexia.

Added : - because of the fault I cannot put the car on high and it is too low to drive up on ramps.

Two pieces of wood four to five foot long and a chain saw and we have the patented Spiff ramp extensions, worked a treat : )

Oooh now that's interesting that it has a permanent fault on the front but the front appears to be behaving correctly?

Obviously that needs to be investigated, but for the rear, given you have changed the sensor recently, I would try clearing the fault and seeing if it re-appears? I suggest you need to bell out the wiring to the sensors though, as well as just checking the sensors themselves.

Good evening gentlemen its freezing out there : )

Hallo wurlycorner

I had not replaced the rear sensor permanently, just tried one to see if it was the trouble, it was not, the pump remained silent.

Today I replaced the front sensor with one I has serviced, Alanna re-connected the battery, I turned on the ignision and the pump ran.

The front which had dropped right down, when running a test on one of the valves I think with the Lexia, rose up.

After another 15 seconds the rear that was also right down, having been depressurised when I replaced the seals in the ram and the gaiter, started to rise. : )

A moment of joy.

We took it down off the ramps and did a couple of up and downs and all appears to be well.

The intermittent fault with the pump not running, which had turned permanent since I worked on the rear ram, appears to be cured.

The front sensor has been causing the problem with the pump, it would run sometimes when I opened the doors, but if I tried to raise or lower the car it would stop running and the Series Suspension Fault would appear.

The pump would then not run for the rest of the day at least.

The same would often happen as I pulled out of the garage or after a mile or so, the pump would then sometimes run again if parked over night.

The pressure in the system allowed us to use the car for some weeks, that was until my birthday 22 12 when the rear ram failed.

The fault cleared as soon as I replaced the front sensor, it must stop the cars computer from signalling the pump to run.

I shall take the faulty sensor apart to see if it is the contact of the three pins to the circuit board that is causing it to fail, at first intermittently and then permanently.

I have a head light bulb to replace tomorrow, but after that I will have a look at the old sensor : )

There is no sign of leaking fluid from the repaired ram, but we shall see how it goes.

Many thanks to all you kind gentlemen for all the help you have given me : )

God Bless Spiff and xxxx from Alanna

Have you also considered the pump itself Spiff? The motor can get a lot of crud in there and start to burn out. There’s are some posts about it on the forum which a search should find. I’m on a mobile at present otherwise I would link to them.

Hallo Marc,

Not sure if you have missed some of my post, but today I replaced the front sensor and the pump sprang to life.

The car is now at the correct height front and back and the pump runs as it should when you get in.

Also the up and down controls work fine.

I am as certain as I can be that all is now ok : )

The replacement sensor is now fitted to the car, the one I am going to disect is the faulty one.

Thank you all, with out your help I should have been lost : )

It has been great to work on a car again.

Now that I own a Lexia. I should like to make mine available to other members to repay some of the help I have received.

I believe you have a list of members with a Lexia who are willing to assist.

Obviously I am no expert having only just obtained mine, but if any member requires one plugged in to their vehicle, I should be happy to go on the list.

We are located about 10 miles from Helston SW Cornwall.

Spiff, well done on the repair, the car should now have a new lease of life. I must admit I do miss the "magic carpet ride " on my old C5, The Peugeots ride is not nearly a good. I don't tend to do repairs anymore, the mind is keen but the body differs.
