Daughter's water temp sender on the C3 is playing silly wotsits.
New one just ordered, but tentative attempts to separate the two parts (small screwdriver levering inwards ie towards the sender itself) came to nothing....
...and you know how it is with these things when you're unfamiliar with how they come apart, don't know whether to press it, lever it, ease it, or just give it a pull.
Could someone advise please.
Thanks
NB: I'm guessing no need to bleed upon fitting new 'un?
Its the 1.1 Petrol on an '05' plate.

Re: Temperature Sender: how to un-plug it
I THINK with that plug, a small flat blade in between the casing side, just behind the 2 downward prong looking clip and ease the screwdriver outwards, moving the 2 pronged clip away from the plug whilst gently pulling.

Re: Temperature Sender: how to un-plug it
That plug looks like a typical Citroen latch design. IF you can get to the end away from the wires there should be a latch you lift to allow the plug to pull away from the socket. I am looking along the body of the plug, where there are two (actually it is one) latch going under a 'cover'.

Re: Temperature Sender: how to un-plug it
thanks Guys, that'll sort it; simple thing, but awkward at the same time.
if they could've only continued with the 1990's style plugs on my 405, that'd be easy.... too easy!
Talking of easy, isn't it a pain how jobs 'grow', there I am earlier adjusting the Tracking, looks to one side, oh joy another cold couple of hours under the car required soon, gaping hole in one of the CV Gaiters (new Lucas Gaiter Feb 2016), less than 20k ago!
Moan, moan, whinge, whinge... bah humbug! Could've been the Pheasant I hit earlier this week I suppose
