Installing power steering, c15

Post by Bsim9751 »

Hi all,
I've been thinking of adding power steering to my little c15 van. Its the non power steering model and as I'm not He-Man, Arnold Schwarzenegger or The Incredible Hulk I'm getting tired of the muscle power required to steer it. Anyone got an idea how difficult this would be? Any info at all would be great.
Thanks!

I know there are a few companies that do conversions - and if it was anything like my Father's prized C15 Romahome, it can be a bit of a job steering whilst you are standing on the brakes at the same time to stop it!

I'm wondering if it might be worth giving Romahome a ring (formerly Islands Plastics who do all the conversions for the Romahome) - they are in Southampton:

Here's another company that retrofit:

Prices do vary somewhat.

Is that the same Island Plastics that made boat hulls Marc?

Yes they are the same people Lexi. I think they are now part of the Freeborne group now that includes Citroen franchised dealers. They are located in Ocean Village Southampton, but now have several branches around the UK. They used to be based in Cowes, Isle of Wight.
