New shock absorber configuration.
I have read and seen you-tube on the new shock's that promise a far better ride than the oil/air suspension which is being fazed out. Now , do you think that Citroen will make a set up for the coil sprung c5 x7 ?? Dare I wish that this could come true.

It's not the promised better damping that I want, it's self-levelling suspension. With wet suspension you get both.

They’re called Progressive hydraulic cushions.
They aren’t better than the Hydraulic system on the C5, as this new system is not active and not self-levelling.
They probably won’t release a retro fit for currently sprung models, but who knows how much the design will change when the C5 makes its comeback in 2020? There will be no Hydractive suspension so I suspect the new C5 will have them as it is being brought back ro meet a gap in the segment and the new suspension that is on the C5 Crossover and Cactus is supposed to be unique to the Citroen marque according to Linda Jackson, the big cheese of Citroen UK.

I saw a new cactus with the new suspension and you should have seen it roll forward and backwards when the driver was trying to go slow in traffic.

A couple of Videos:
The last video is the C5 Aircross. It shows a walk around of the vehicle - he does go for a spin at the end and it still has problems with big dips and holes - nearly launching off at a few points! But, I guess it's all we hydractive owners have got to look forward to now

Looking at the last video , I think my two DS super 5 and pallas were a lot smoother than that. I don't ever remember the suspension crashing out on pot holes. Come on Citroen gives us the old way of riding in comfort.

I think that's Linda Jackson's swan song for us hydromaniacs - the best we're going to get. But of course, about "being unique to Citroen", that's probably BS as they'll no doubt port it onto Peugeot and DS vehicles.
