The error code will be related to one of the oxygen sensors. If they are working correctly, then it may indicate that your Catalytic Converter needs cleaning or replacing. Catalytic converters can trigger the engine management light (via the sensor readings) even if they are 90% unblocked.
These can be hard to remove due to the high temperatures involved making them difficult to get off - so not always easy to remove in order to check and clean.
You may consider trying a catalytic cleaner first of all, as that is the cheapest solution and may help. Here's a review / guide:
